Carmen Navar es una artista multimedia cuya misión es crear paz y belleza en un mundo estresante. Al comunicar su lenguaje mediante el movimiento de potentes pinceladas y la creación de trazos, su obra roza el ámbito de la emoción, la abstracción y la figuración. La mayoría de las ideas de Carmen surgen de su alma. Su reto como artista es dar voz a estas imágenes y pensamientos e incitar al espectador a trascender lo obvio y explorar el valor y la belleza que lleva dentro, manteniendo su interés en una búsqueda que invita a la reflexión. En su obra, no tiene una idea preconcebida del resultado final. Es en esta etapa artística que se da cuenta de que está siendo influenciada por una "Fuerza" superior que conecta oportunidades y posibilidades con la "Intervención Divina". Ha ganado numerosos premios. Fue la mejor estudiante de su clase de Diseño en el Southwest Institute of Design, ganó el premio a la Mejor Artista de la Exposición del Westside Art Guild, obtuvo el Primer Lugar en la Exposición Anual de la Virgen de Guadalupe, participó en la exposición "Ojos Inquisitivos" del Museo de Arte de El Paso y ha participado en diversas exposiciones individuales, colectivas y con jurado en El Paso, Ciudad Juárez y Latinoamérica. Recientemente, obtuvo su Licenciatura en Estudios Multidisciplinarios en Dibujo en la Universidad de Texas en El Paso.
Carmen Navar is a multimedia artist whose mission statement is to, Create peace and beauty in a stress filled world'. Communicating her language through the movement of powerful brushstrokes and mark making, her work borders on the realm of emotion, abstraction and figuration. Most of Carmen's ideas come from the inner landscape of her soul. Her challenge as an artist is to give voice to these images and thoughts and to prompt the viewer to transcend the obvious and explore the value and beauty within themselves, holding their interest
into a thought provoking quest. In her work she has no preconceived idea of the final product. It is at this juncture as an artist, that she realizes she is being influenced by a greater 'Force' that ties opportunities and possibilities in with 'Divine Intervention'. She has won many awards.
She was Valedictorian of her Design class at the Southwest Institute of Design, won Best of Show at the Westside Art Guild, won First Place at the Annual Lady of Guadalupe Show, was in the show 'Inquisitive Eyes' at the El Paso Museum of Art and has been in various solo, group and juried shows in El Paso, Juarez, and Latin America. Most recently she received her Bachelor's Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies in Drawing at the University of Texas at El Paso.
